2(L + B) = 24 So L+ B = 12 ------(1) & L = 5B ------(2) Putting 2nd equation in 1st ; we will get So 5B + B = 12 So 6B = 12 or B = 2cm So L = 5 × B = 5 × 2 = 10 cm So area of the rectangle = L× B = 10 × 2 = 20 cm²
