    • Question

      A cone has a height of 14 cm and a volume of 2,112 cm³.

      What is the ratio of the cone's height to its radius? {Take π = (22/7)}
      A 7:5 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      B 6:7 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      C 6:5 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
      D 7:6 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      Let the radius of the cone be ‘r’ cm.

      Volume of cone = (1/3) × (22/7) × r 2  × height

      ATQ: 2112 = (1/3) × (22/7) × r 2  × 14

      Or, r 2  = 144

      So, r = 12 (Since, radius cannot be negative therefore, we can discard the negative root)

      So, required ratio = 14:12 = 7:6
