So, the area of the rectangular field = l × b = 480 l = 480/b Perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(l + b) = 88 l + b = 44 480/b + b = 44 480 + b² = 44b b² – 44b + 480 = 0 b² – 30b – 14b + 480 = 0 b(b – 30) – 14(b – 30) = 0 (b – 14)(b – 30) = 0 b = 30, 14 b = 14 m and l = 30 m as length is greater than breadth So, the desired percentage = {(30 – 14)/30} × 100 = 53.33%
