    Let side of 4 squares be a, b, c and d cm respectively. => a = 20/4 = 5 cm => b = 36/4 = 9 cm => c = 40/4 = 10 cm => c = 48/4 = 12 cm Perimeter of new square = a + b + c + d = 36 => side = 36/4 = 9 cm Required area = side2 = 92 = 81 cm2.
