    Solution

    Let side of 4 squares be a, b, c and d cm respectively. => a = 20/4 = 5 cm => b = 24/4 = 6 cm => c = 32/4 = 8 cm => d = 36/4 = 9 cm Perimeter of new square = a + b + c + d = 28 => side = 28/4 = 7 cm Required area = side2 = 72 = 49 cm2.
