If area of the square and rectangle is 400 m2 and 240 m2, respectively then find the perimeter of the rectangle.Solution
Side of square = √400 = 20 metres Area of rectangle = 240 m2 Breadth × 20 = 240 Or, Breadth of the rectangle = 12 metres Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 × (12 + 20) = 64 metres
