Let the length and breadth of rectangle = x and x – 10 cm Perimeter of rectangle = 2 x [Length + Breadth] According to the question Perimeter of rectangle = 116 cm ⇒ 2 x [Length + Breadth] = 116 ⇒ x + x – 10 = 58 ⇒ Length = x = 34 cm Breadth = (x – 10) = 24 cm Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth Area of rectangle = 34 x 24 Area of rectangle = 816 cm²
