If the length and breadth of a rectangle are in the

Using the formula, Perimeter = 2(l + b) & Area = length x breadth Let the length and breadth of the rectangle be 4x and 3x cm respectively. Then, 2(4x + 3x) = 28 ⇒ 14x = 28 ⇒ x = 28/14 = 2 Therefore, length = 4x = 8 cm Breadth = 3x = 6 cm Therefore, area = lb = 8 x 6 = 48 cm²
