    Solution

    To find the larger value we use the formula i.e. (Sum + Difference)/2. Public vehicles travelled in 2013 = (1100+400)/2 = 750 Private vehicles travelled in 2013 = 1100 – 750 = 350 Public vehicles travelled in 2014 = (800+200)/2 = 500 Private vehicles travelled in 2014 = 800 – 500 = 300 Required % = (350/300) × 100 = 116.66%
