    In each of the following questions, a question and three statements I, II and III are given. You have to decide whether the date given in the statements are sufficient to answer the question or not.

    What was the percentage of discount offered? I)

    Profit earned by selling the article for Rs. 324 after giving a discount was Rs. 24. II) Had there been no discount, the profit earned would have been Rs. 60. III) Had there been no discount, the profit earned would have been 20%.

    From statement I, CP = 324 – 24 = Rs. 300 From statement II, MP = 300 + 60 = Rs.360 Discount = 360 – 324 = Rs. 36 Discount% = 36/360 x 100 = 10% From III, Profit = 20/100 x 300 = Rs. 60 MP = 300 + 60 = Rs.360 Discount = 360 – 324 = Rs. 36 Discount% = 36/360 x 100 = 10% Hence, I and either II or III only are sufficient to answer the question.
