Speed of man in still water = x = 7 km/hr Speed of current = y = 3 km/hr Let the distance be x km. Now according to the question, Upstream time = Downstream time + 6 => x/(7-3) β x/(7+3) = 6 => x/4 β x/10 = 6 => [(5x - 2x)/20] = 6 => x = 40 km
