person’s weight is 28 kg more than the lightest person’s weight. If the average weight of the rest two persons is 47 kg, then find the weight of the heaviest person.Solution
The sum of the weight of 4 persons = 46 × 4 = 184 kg Let the weight of the lightest person = ‘x’ kg The weight of the heaviest person = (x + 28) kg The sum of the weight of the remaining two persons = 47 × 2 = 94 kg According to the question, x + x + 28 + 94 = 184 2x = 62 x = 31 The weight of the heaviest person = 31 + 28 = 59 kg
