There are three numbers such that when the average of
any of the two numbers is added with the third number, sum obtained will be 200, 250 and 300. Find the average of all three numbers.Solution
Let the three numbers be a, b and c respectively. According to question; (a + b + 2c) = 200 × 2 = 400……………..(1) (a + 2b + c) = 250 × 2 = 500……………..(2) (2a + b + c) = 300 × 2 = 600……………..(3) From equation (1), (2) and (3) 4 × (a + b + c) = 1500 a + b + c = 375 (a + b + c)/3 = 125
