    Sum of the ages of Anuj, Saroj and Tanuj = 36 × 3 = 108 years So, sum of the ages of Anuj and Saroj = 30 × 2 = 60 years Sum of the ages of Tanuj and Anuj = 36 × 2 = 72 years Therefore, the age of Tanuj = 108 – 60 = 48 years And the age of Saroj = 108 – 72 = 36 years Hence, the average age of Saroj and Tanuj = (36 + 48)/2 = 42 years
