    Solution

    As men and women are equal so , there are 8 women and 8 men so, total consumption will be 70 × 8 = 560 (by men) and 65 × 8 = 520 (by women)
    Total consumption = 1080 kg
    But after including a woman the average consumption for 17 people is given to be 66.
    So the total consumption will be 66 × 17 = 1122 kg
    So, woman’s consumption will be = 1122 – 1080 = 42 kg
