    taken out of the vessel and replaced with 6 liter of water and again 6 liter of mixture was taken out and was replaced with water. Now the ratio of milk to water become 100:96. Find the initial Quantity of milk in the vessel.

    Solution

    Let the Quantity of milk initially is x liter. Using Direct Formula, =100/100+96 = (x-6 / x)2 =100/196 = (x-6/x)2 x-6/x = 10/14 14x -84 = 10x 4x = 84 X =21 liter
