    Let the age daughter’s age = x Meena’s age = 8x According to the question, (8x+8)/(x+8) = 9/2 ⇒ 16x + 16 = 9x + 72 ⇒ 16x - 9x = 72 – 16 ⇒ 7x = 56 ⇒ x = 8 ∴ Meena’s present age = 8 × 8 = 64 years.
