Under section 553, an award made under the Code becomes enforceable on the expiry of thirty days from the date of its communication. However, the appropriate or Central Government may, if it considers it inexpedient on public grounds affecting national economy or social justice, declare by notification that the award shall not become enforceable on the expiry of the said thirty days, and may then reject or modify it.
