Section 12(3)(i) empowers the Authority to arrange for 'watch and ward' (i.e., security patrolling and surveillance) at airports and civil enclaves - a security-adjacent operational function distinct from passport/visa verification (an immigration/BCAS-linked function), currency exchange rate regulation (an RBI function, though Section 12(3)(h) does allow AAI to arrange MONEY EXCHANGE FACILITIES for passengers, not regulate rates), aircraft manufacturing (a DGCA-regulated activity under the Vayuyan Adhiniyam), or nationwide meteorological forecasting (an IMD function, though AAI may charge fees for meteorological SERVICES at its own airports under Section 22(i)(b)). Notably, watch-and-ward is one of the two functions expressly protected from being leased out under the proviso to Section 12A(1).
