Explanation: Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act enables a party to apply to a court for interim measures - including attachment of property, interim injunction, or appointment of a receiver - before or during arbitral proceedings. Section 17 empowers the ARBITRAL TRIBUNAL itself to order interim measures, and since the 2015 amendment such tribunal orders are enforceable like court orders.
