A Seven days from the date of receipt of the notice, failing which the offence under s.138 is complete and a complaint may be filed.
B Ten days from the date of receipt of the notice demanding payment of the cheque amount from the drawer.
C Fifteen days from the date of receipt of the statutory notice demanding payment of the amount of the cheque.
D Thirty days from the date of receipt of the notice, that being the period allowed to the drawer to arrange the funds.
E Forty-five days from the date of receipt of the notice, the period being co-terminous with the limitation for filing the complaint.
