Section 25(1) penalises contravention of rules made under Section 10(2)(v) prohibiting/regulating carriage of arms, explosives or dangerous goods in aircraft, or furnishing false information relating to such goods, with imprisonment up to two years, or fine up to one crore rupees, or both - with liability also attaching to the owner unless he proves the offence occurred without his knowledge, consent or connivance. This substantially enhances the monetary penalty compared to the erstwhile Aircraft Act, 1934.
