The Adjudicating Authority under PMLA consists of:

Section 6(2) of PMLA provides that an Adjudicating Authority shall consist of a Chairperson and two other Members. The proviso to Section 6(2) specifies that one Member each shall be a person having experience in the field of law, administration, finance or accountancy. The Chairperson and every Member shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which they enter upon their office, and no person shall hold office after attaining the age of sixty-two years under Section 6(8). The Adjudicating Authority is not bound by the Code of Civil Procedure but shall be guided by the principles of natural justice as per Section 6(15). This three-member composition ensures multi-disciplinary oversight.
