      Solution

Section 30(1) provides that any person aggrieved by an order of the Recovery Officer may, within thirty days from the date on which a copy of the order is issued to him, prefer an appeal to the Tribunal. On receipt, the Tribunal may confirm, modify, or set aside the Recovery Officer's order (Section 30(2)). Section 30A (added by the 2016 Amendment) further requires that where the debtor appeals a Recovery Officer's order, such appeal shall not be entertained unless the debtor deposits fifty per cent. of the debt amount with the Tribunal - mirroring the pre-deposit condition for DRAT appeals under Section 21.
