The Aravalli range covers 17 districts of the state. It divides the state into two parts. Eastern and western parts. The Aravalli range divides the rivers of the state into 2 parts. Western part and eastern part. The rivers flowing to the west of the Aravalis carry their water to the Arabian Sea and the rivers flowing east of the Aravalis carry their water to the Bay of Bengal. The highest extent of the Aravali ranges is in Udaipur district and the lowest extent is in Ajmer district. The highest point of the Aravalli range is Gurushikhar in Sirohi district while the lowest point is pushkar valley in Ajmer district.
