The Second Battle of Tarain was fought in 1192 CE between Muhammad Ghori and Prithviraj Chauhan near Tarain (modern-day Haryana). This battle was historically significant as Ghori's victory led to the establishment of Muslim rule in northern India. Prithviraj Chauhan, who had previously defeated Ghori in the First Battle of Tarain (1191), was defeated and captured in this decisive encounter.
