    China successfully tested its first solar highway in Shadong province using indigenous (originated in own country) technology. It became the second country in the world to construct a photovoltaic or solar highway after France which introduced the technology in 2016. This highway will generate about 820 KW electricity and will be connected to China’s National grid.
