Who was inaugurated as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in October 2024?  

Omar Abdullah was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on 16th October 2024, marking his second term in this role. His inauguration is notable as he is the first to assume this position following the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The National Conference-INC alliance, which he represents, secured a majority by winning 48 of 90 seats in the recent assembly elections. Abdullah represented and won from the Ganderbal and Budgam constituencies. Surinder Kumar Choudhary was sworn in alongside him as the Deputy CM.
