Kshemendra was an 11th-century poet from Kashmir in India. Kshemendra was born as a Shaiva, but later became a Vaishnava. He studied and wrote about both Vaishnavism and Buddhism. The study depicts the works of Kshemendra who made a respectable contribution to the literature of Kashmir. Kshemendra wrote his works in the reign of the Kashmirian King Ananta and his son Kalasa.
