• NAVYA stands for “Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls.” • It is a new skilling initiative launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). • The scheme was launched on June 24, 2025, in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Key Facts about the NAVYA Scheme: • Target Group: Adolescent girls aged 16–18 years. • Objective: To provide vocational training and promote economic independence and entrepreneurship among young girls. • Training Areas: Graphic design, telecom, financial services, drone assembly, solar PV installation, CCTV setup, and hand embroidery. • Implementation: Through existing resources of PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana) and PM Vishwakarma Yojana. • Coverage: Initially launched in 27 Northeastern and Aspirational districts across 19 states. • Launched by: o Shri Jayant Chaudhary (MoS, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship) o Smt.
