Bihu is celebrated in the state of Assam , which is located in the northeastern part of India. It is a major festival of Assam and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy by the people of the state. Bihu is a series of three different festivals - Rongali or Bohag Bihu in April, Kongali or Kati Bihu in October, and Bhogali or Magh Bihu in January. These festivals are associated with agricultural activities and are a reflection of the rich cultural heritage of Assam.
