    The scheme was launched from 2019 to 31st March 2022. To prevent the use of petrol and diesel-type vehicles it was an integral part of the national electric mobility mission plan, and necessary charging infrastructure will also be set up for electric vehicles.   The government has extended the FAME II scheme for 2 years. Now, this scheme will be applicable till 31st March 2024.
