Question
Ankita borrowed some money from Suman at 11% p.a. simple
interest for 2 years. After 2 years, she returned the amount to Suman and again borrowed 2/3rd of the amount she had borrowed from Suman, from Arjun at 9% p.a. simple interest for 4 years. If the total money borrowed by Ankita is Rs. 35,000, find the money repaid by her to Suman and Arjun.Solution
ATQ,
Let the amount borrowed by Ankita from Suman be Rs. ‘x’. So, the amount borrowed by Ankita from Arjun = Rs. (2x/3)
Money to be repaid to Suman = 21000+(21000×0.11×2) = Rs.25520 Money to be repaid to Arjun:
14000+14000×0.36 = Rs.19040 Total amount to be repaid by Ankita = 25520+19040 = Rs.44560
