    Ankita borrowed some money from Suman at 11% p.a. simple

    interest for 2 years. After 2 years, she returned the amount to Suman and again borrowed 2/3rd of the amount she had borrowed from Suman, from Arjun at 9% p.a. simple interest for 4 years. If the total money borrowed by Ankita is Rs. 35,000, find the total amount repaid by Ankita to both Suman and Arjun.

    ATQ,

    Let the amount borrowed by Ankita from Suman be Rs. ‘x’. So, the amount borrowed by Ankita from Arjun = Rs. (2x/3)

    Money to be repaid to Suman = 21000+(21000×0.11×2) = Rs.25620 Money to be repaid to Arjun:

    14000+14000×0.36 = Rs.19040 Total amount to be repaid by Ankita = 25620+19040 = Rs.44660
