The National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) was upgraded from Schedule ‘B’ CPSE status to Schedule ‘A’ CPSE status through a notification issued by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on 26 February 2026. Schedule ‘A’ status provides greater managerial authority, operational flexibility, and enhanced financial powers to the organisation. NSIC is a central public sector enterprise that has worked for more than seven decades to promote and support MSMEs through services such as skill development, marketing assistance, credit facilitation, and capacity-building programmes.
