Larsen & Toubro (L&T) proposed the establishment of a Sovereign, Scalable, Gigawatt-scale AI Factory Infrastructure under the IndiaAI Mission. The initiative aims to strengthen India’s position as a global artificial intelligence hub capable of supporting domestic enterprises as well as global technology companies. The infrastructure will combine L&T’s engineering and infrastructure expertise with advanced AI technologies provided by NVIDIA, including GPUs, CPUs, high-performance networking systems, accelerated storage platforms, and the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software stack. The project is intended to build large-scale AI-ready data centres capable of supporting intensive AI workloads such as model training, inference, and enterprise applications.
