The Indian Council of Agricultural Research manages a nationwide network of 113 research institutes dedicated to agricultural science, innovation, and technology development. These institutes conduct research across various fields including crop science, soil science, animal husbandry, fisheries, agricultural engineering, and biotechnology. In addition to research institutes, ICAR is connected with 74 agricultural universities, creating a comprehensive agricultural research and education system in India.
