According to FDI statistics for December 2025, what was the amount of gross inward foreign direct investment inflow into India?

Gross inward foreign direct investment into India reached $8.6 billion in December 2025, which was the highest level recorded in five months. Gross FDI refers to the total investment inflows into the country before accounting for repatriation or outward investment. The inflow of $8.6 billion was also 17.2 percent higher than the level recorded in December 2024. Major source countries contributing to these inflows included Singapore, the Netherlands, and Mauritius, which together accounted for more than 80 percent of total FDI inflows during the period.
