Exercise Achook Prahar 2025 was a joint firepower exercise conducted from 25–28 August 2025 in central Arunachal Pradesh, involving the Indian Army’s Spear Corps (SpearHead Division) and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The drill tested joint capabilities—mortars, machine guns, rockets, and grenades—in high-altitude terrain, validating interoperability for real combat scenarios. The ITBP, established in 1962 after the Sino-Indian War, specialises in mountain warfare and secures 3,488 km of India’s border with China at altitudes up to 18,750 feet, making its participation operationally significant for border defence exercises.
