Stalin announced that the State government would grant lifetime recognition to minority educational institutions in the State. • These certificates would not have any fixed time limits. • The Minorities Welfare Minister had already launched a web portal designed by the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA) to simplify the procedure of issuing minority status certificates to educational institutions run by minorities. • On the appointment of teachers, the maximum age for appointment of teachers in the general category (53), and for other communities (58) in government schools, would also be extended to minority educational institutions.
