The Himachal Pradesh Agriculture Department has launched a 'Mobile Van Program' as part of the 'Prakritik Kheti Khushhal Kisan Yojana' to promote environmentally friendly and natural farming practices. This initiative, launched in Shimla, aims to supply fresh, organic vegetables directly to consumers while also encouraging organic and chemical-free farming. The five-year plan of the initiative is to reduce farming expenses, increase income, and safeguard human health and the environment. The scheme has already registered over 89,000 natural farming farmers, with attempts underway to broaden its scope and form farmer-product firms.
