The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the development of a new Greenfield airport at Dholera, Gujarat, which will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹1,305 crore in the first of its three phases. The project is being implemented by Dholera International Airport Company Limited, which is a joint venture company comprising 51% share of the Airports Authority of India, 33% of the Gujarat government and 16% of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust. The first phase will be completed by 2025-2026.
