Ladli Laxmi scheme is a comprehensive scheme that offers financial assistance for a girl from birth until her marriage in installments.The Ladli Laxmi Scheme has been implemented by the government of Madhya Pradesh since 2007 to enhance the economic and educational status of the girls. UNDER THE SCHEME : The Madhya Pradesh Government purchases a National Savings Certificate worth Rs.6000 for five years for every girl child applied for under this scheme.The first installment of Rs.2000 is made when the candidate is studying the 6th standard.While entering the 9th standard, Rs.4000 is provided. Rs.7500 will be given when the candidate is studying 11th standard and an amount of Rs. 200 is issued every month during the higher education of 12th grade.On completion of 21 years, the candidate will be paid a final payment of Rs.1 lakh if unmarried and desires to pursue higher studies. The state government has started Ladli Lakshmi 2.0 so that there is no problem of money in the education of daughters. Ladli Laxmi Utsav will be celebrated every year from May 2 to May 12 .
