    About SVAMITVA (Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas) scheme. Nodal ministry is Ministry of Panchayati Raj. In the States, the Revenue Department / Land Records Department will be the Nodal Department and shall carry out the scheme Launch. CORS ( Continuously Operating Reference Stations) network provides regional positioning service. It plays a major role in achieving  centimetre accuracy positioning. As the “Land and land records” are State Subjects , States need to   sign an MoU with the Survey of India for implementation of the SVAMITVA scheme. So far, 26 States/UTs have signed MoU.
