It allows users tocheck what they are entitled to, locate nearby ration shops etc. It also supports biometric authentication. About ONORC ( One Nation One Ration Card scheme). It was started in August 2019 (initially in 4 states only). Objective is to introduce the nation-wide portability of ration cards under the National Food Security Act, 2013 (NFSA). 4 States/UTs that are still not covered : Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and West Bengal.
