To enhance the competitiveness of existing individual micro-food processing industries in the unorganized segment of the food processing industry. The scheme aims to set up / upgrade 2 lakh micro food processing units from 2020-21 to 2024-25 . It’s a Centrally sponsored scheme ( i.e. funding shared between Centre & States) with a total outlay of Rs 10,000 crore for 5 years.
