Objective of the scheme is To form & promote 10,000 FPOs in a 5 year period from 2019-20 to 2023-24 to ensure Economies of Scale for Farmers. Ministry of Agriculture is the nodal ministry. The formation of FPO will be based on the Produce Cluster Area approach & specialized commodity-based approach.
