जगनिक महोबा के चन्देल राजा परमार्दिदेव (परमाल ११६५-१२०३ई.) के समकालीन जिझौतिया नायक परिवार में जन्मे कवि थे इनका पूरा नाम जगनिक नायक था। इन्होने परमाल के सामंत और सहायक महोबा के आल्हा-ऊदल को नायक मानकर आल्हखण्ड नामक ग्रंथ की रचना की जिसे लोक में 'आल्हा' नाम से प्रसिध्दि मिली।
