SSC Selection Post Age Criteria (as on January 01, 2023)
The age limit for various posts under SSC selection post 2023 varies. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 30 years depending on the post you are applying for. You can check the age limit criteria based on your interest in that particular post.

Please note, the Commission will only accept the Date of Birth listed on the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate to determine age eligibility; any later requests to modify this information will not be taken into consideration or granted.
SSC Selection Post Age Relaxation
Apart from the above age criteria, SSC provides age relaxation to certain categories like SC/ST/ ex-serviceman as per Government norms. Some of them can enjoy relaxation for up to 5 years whereas some enjoy only 3 years of relaxation within the age limit. SSC Selection Post Nationality
A candidate must be either:
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) A subject of Nepal, or
(c) A subject of Bhutan, or
(d) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
- A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after, the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/ her by the Government of India.
SSC Selection Post Work Experience
For posts where candidates are required to have certain work experience, it is mandatory that applicants ensure they fulfill the same. The Crucial date for determining the possession of Essential Qualifications (EQs)/ Experience is March 27, 2023.
