Eligibility Criteria
What is NRA CET eligibility?
Surely, most of the aspirants must have this question in mind since the news of the NRA Common Eligibility Test has been doing the rounds.
Checking the CET exam eligibility will be the most important step before moving on with the application process as soon as the official notification arrives. The complete information on the educational qualification, age limit, nationality etc will be provided once the NRA CET official website is launched. Until then, we can have an overview of the expected eligibility criteria including the educational qualification and age limit.
Educational Qualification
As shared above, the NRA CET exam will be conducted in order to replace the primary level or the first phase of online exams that are held by various agencies such as the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) & Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) separately to select eligible candidates for various posts released by them. The NRA CET exam will be conducted in three levels and depending on the post that you apply for, the level and the requisite CET exam qualification will vary. Thus, based on the three levels of NRA CET, the requisite educational qualifications will be:
- 10th level - candidates who have passed the 10th standard will be able to apply for the 10th level CET exam such as SSC GD Constable, SSC MTS & SSC Selection Post & RRB Grp D.
- 12th level - candidates who have passed the 12th level will be eligible to apply for the 12th level CET exam such as SSC CHSL (Tier 1), SSC Constable (GD) Delhi police, SSC Stenographer Grade C exam, SSC Selection Post, RRB Grp D & RRB NTPC.
- Graduate-level - candidates who have attained a Graduate degree will be eligible to apply for the Graduate level CET exams such as SSC CGL, SSC CPO (SI), SSC Selection Post, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB PO, IBPS RRB Clerk & RRB NTPC.

Age Criteria
Besides the educational qualification/s that will be required for the NRA CET exam 2024, the applicants also need to adhere to the conditions pertaining to the age limit. Depending on the various exam levels that the NRA will be covering through the Common Eligibility Test, the minimum age required will be 18 years and the maximum age will be 33 years.
Name of the Post | Age Criteria |

NRA CET | Minimum age - 18 years & Maximum - 33 years |
Please note: The Common Eligibility Test age limit will vary depending on the post that you will be applying for.
Age Relaxation
As the NRA CET exam will be replacing the Tier 1/Prelims of the various recruitment exams conducted by SSC, RRB & IBPS, the eligibility conditions will be as per the post that one will be applying to. The same will be applied to the age relaxation norms. Until the NRA CET official notification arrives, we can expect that the relaxation in the upper age limit will depend on the particular post that a candidate will apply to. The age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC candidates will be applied as per the existing norms.
