A candidate who fails to produce their degree as per the criteria, will not be allowed to appear for the exam. EPFO listed the complete eligibility criteria for the interested candidates who wish to apply for the EPFO Social Security Assistant post. Apart from the educational qualification mentioned in the notification, a candidate also needs to follow age criteria if he/she wishes to appear for EPFO SSA 2026 Examination.
A candidate willing to appear in the EPFO Social Security Assistant 2026 Examination should not be below 18 years and should not have crossed the age of 27 years. This age criterion will be taken into consideration as of the age deadline.

EPFO Social Security Assistant Age Relaxation
EPFO provides a relaxation in age to certain categories in order to provide an additional advantage to some of the candidates belonging to a particular category as per the EPFO SSA Recruitment Notification.
The categories who are provided this age relaxation also include the employees of EPFO and some Government organizations. Other categories will be SC/ST/OBC along with some other categories also. The period of relaxation may vary in all categories. Refer to the details below:

Nationality
(i) A candidate must be either:
a. a citizen of India, or
b. a subject of Nepal, or
c. a subject of Bhutan, or
d. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
f. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
